Today we’re going to be looking at the title animation style of the movie “Oblivion“. We’ll make this simple title style using only After Effects. The real purpose of this tutorial, in addition to the creation of all the space background elements, particles, lens flares, and the film grain, is the interesting use of the shatter effect. Many do not know that with this tool it is possible to create intentional fractures using a simple method with RGB color masks.
The actual example of title Oblivion is just for training purposes, and is not to be used in a final personal project without permission from the original creators.
